SANKRIT KULMANOCHAWONG WERELD KAMPIOEN STAMPPOT KOK 2025!
Het officiële Wereldkampioenschap stamppotkoken op 12 februari waar doorgewinterde koks (sommigen al voor de tiende keer) tegen elkaar opkookten voor de ‘Wereldkampioen’ titel. Sankrit Kulmanochawong vertegenwoordigde het resort en blies wederom het publiek omver met zijn Thaise variant van de zuurkool stamppot. Gefocust, beraden en kalm als een zalm… Sankrit veroverd het publiek en de jury en sleept welverdiend ook op het officiële WK stamppotkoken georganiseerd door Stichting Oud Hollandsche Gerechten Groningen de winst binnen.

Over Sankrit Kulmanochawong
Sankrit gebruikt graag eten, beeldmateriaal en grafisch ontwerp om visuele discrepanties en culturele botsingen te belichten die vaak onopgemerkt blijven. Zijn proces is geïnspireerd door nauwkeurige observaties, herinneringen en gevonden beelden, die uiteindelijk resulteren in voedselontwerpen, culinaire ervaringen, grafisch ontwerp en collages. Zo organiseert hij voedselinstallaties om manieren te vinden om eten collectief te ervaren en op die manier nieuwe gesprekken te starten.
voorronde WK Stamppotkoken
Op 24 januari was het druk en rook het heerlijk aan nieuwe sint jansstraat 35 voor de kwalificatiewedstrijd voor het wereldkampioenschap stamppotkoken. Tien deelnemende teams, die zich aangemeld hadden via de open call, kookten elk drie kilo aan stamppot zuurkool. Unieke borden met ingrediënten als aardpeer, zeewierparels en mosterdwafeltjes werden geserveerd voor het publiek om te proeven. Door middel van een stembiljet kon iedere bezoeker stemmen op diens favoriet. Aan het einde van de avond werden de stemmen geteld en werd de winnaar aangekondigt die het resort mocht gaan vertegenwoordigen op de 30e jubileum editie van het GREYDANUS WK STAMPPOTKOKEN op 12 februari in het Alfa College Kluiverboom, Groningen! Winnaar van de voorronde: Sankrit Kulmanochawong!

SANKRIT KULMANOCHAWONG WORLD CHAMPION STAMPPOT COOK 2025!
The official World Championship stamppot cooking on February 12th, where seasoned chefs (some for the tenth time) competed against each other for the title of ‘World Champion’. Sankrit Kulmanochawong represented het resort and once again blew the audience away with his Thai version of the sauerkraut stamppot. Focused, deliberate and calm as a cucumber… Sankrit conquered the audience and the jury and deservedly won the official World Championship stamppot cooking, organised by Stichting Oud Hollandsche Gerechten Groningen.

About Sankrit Kulmanochawong
Sankrit likes to use food, imagery and graphic design to shine light on visual discrepancies and cultural clashes that often go unnoticed. His processes are inspired by close observations, memories, and found visuals, which end up in food designs, culinary experiences, graphic design and collages. He organizes food installations that try to form ways of experiencing food collectively, and with a mind to facilitating new conversations.

On January 24th, it was busy and the smell was delicious at het resort for the qualification of the World Championship stamppot cooking. Ten participating teams, that had registered through the open call, each cooked three kilos of stamppot with sauerkraut. Unique plates with ingredients such as sunroot, seaweed pearls and mustard waffles were served for the public to taste. By means of a ballot paper, each visitor could vote for their favourite. At the end of the evening, the votes were counted and the winner was announced who would represent het resort at the 30th anniversary edition of the GREYDANUS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP STAMPPOT COOKING on February 12th in the Alfa College Kluiverboom, Groningen! Winner of the qualification match: Sanskrit Kulmanochawong!
