‘Stamppot’ is true winter food. This winter het resort embraces the ‘Dutch’ classic with a participation in the World Cup of stamppot cooking, organised by Stichting Oud Hollandse Gerechten. To select a resort-worthy top chef, a qualifying competition will be organised on Friday 24 January. During this qualification round, 10 artists will cook the stars from heaven. With the theme ‘sauerkraut’, the participants will pull out all the stops to serve the most flavourful, original and aesthetically pleasing stamppot. Everyone is invited to come and taste, vote and collectively determine the resort-chef. Who will know how to tantalise the taste buds of the visitors?

 

This competition will take place at het resort. The top chef who is chosen on 24 January will compete on behalf of het resort for the honorary title of ‘best stamppot chef of the world 2025’ at the 30th edition of the World Championship Stamppot Cooking, on 12 February, organized by Stichting Oud Hollandse Gerechten.

February 12 2025: World Championship Stamppot Cooking / theme: zuurkool (sauerkraut), organised by Stichting Oud Hollandse Gerechten. The championship takes place in Groningen.

The theme of the world championship is sauerkraut, and also applies for the qualification round. The participants be making 3 kilo of stamppot for the public to taste.

The first 10 partcipants that applied for the open call were chosen. First come – first served style.

The public will judge the participants on the following: presentation, originality, taste.
